I have recently acquired a garage full of tools from my father. He just moved into a new home and decided to get rid of some things he no longer uses. I received a table saw, band saw, miter saw w/stand, two jigsaws, two sawzalls, a couple of drills, air compressor, three nail guns, and an assortment of other hand tools. Sweet! So I figured I had better start putting them to use.
About a month ago some friends and I started playing Texas Hold’em once a week for fun. We soon started playing for money tournament style. After playing on the bar in my kitchen (made from the gymnasium floor of an old local high school) four or five times I realized that if we were going to continue playing that this wouldn’t really suffice as a playing surface in the long term.
After a little web research I found some pretty interesting sites that showed me an easy way to make a really nice Texas Hold’em style table. So I borrowed a truck, set out to Lowes for some supplies and got to work.
1. Quit smoking permanently (cliche, I know)
2. Be less passive aggressive at home.
3. What!? That’s it. I don’t have time for more than that.
