A girl who’s not mature enough to marry, vote, drive, drink or smoke shouldn’t be expected to raise a baby either. A good cartoon.
I am so fucking tired of conservatives thinking they can prevent something as deeply instinctual as sex simply by denying people access to contraception, as if a teenager’s libido (or a teenager, period) is something that reasoned with.
The notion that what they’re doing is in any way helping is so absurd that I can’t accept anyone on the right even believes they’re doing the right thing here.
No, I think they’re hateful pieces of shit who want to punish people, predominantly women, for their sexuality.
They’re angry that the stodgy, suffocating religious bullshit they so eagerly swallowed is being discarded like the anachronistic garbage it is.
The GOP is on the wrong side of history, and they know it. The party of the wealthy bigoted white male will grow increasingly irrelevant as their ranks die off and few young people join their cause, and they know this too.
They know all of this, and they are PISSED. Expect things to get much, much uglier, people, because these pricks are not intending to go gentle into that good night.
